# Troubleshooting: If the camera cannot capture ingredients or barcodes

# Scanning problems with the InTolerApp? Here are solutions! 🛠️

Hello 👋 Having trouble scanning ingredients or barcodes with the InTolerApp? Don't worry, I've put together some helpful steps for you here.

## 1. reinstall the app 🔄

Sometimes a fresh start helps:

* Delete the app completely from your device
* Restart your smartphone
* Reinstall the app via the Play Store or App Store
* **Important**: Give the app permission to access your camera

## 2. note the contents 👀

* For **barcode scan**: Position the barcode in the center of the image section
* For **Ingredients**: Make sure that the camera language matches the language on the packaging

## 3. activate camera V2 🔍

If the previous steps do not work, try the following:

* Open the InTolerApp settings
* Scroll all the way down
* Activate the **“Camera V2”** option
* Return to the scanner

**Note**: This camera version is still in the testing phase and may occasionally contain errors.
