Troubleshooting: If the camera cannot capture ingredients or barcodes
Scanning problems with the InTolerApp? Here are solutions! 🛠️
Hello 👋 Having trouble scanning ingredients or barcodes with the InTolerApp? Don't worry, I've put together some helpful steps for you here.
1. reinstall the app 🔄
Sometimes a fresh start helps:
- Delete the app completely from your device
- Restart your smartphone
- Reinstall the app via the Play Store or App Store
- Important: Give the app permission to access your camera
2. note the contents 👀
- For barcode scan: Position the barcode in the center of the image section
- For Ingredients: Make sure that the camera language matches the language on the packaging
3. activate camera V2 🔍
If the previous steps do not work, try the following:
- Open the InTolerApp settings
- Scroll all the way down
- Activate the “Camera V2” option
- Return to the scanner
Note: This camera version is still in the testing phase and may occasionally contain errors.
